Alice Roddy House, wife of Hiram H. House moved from Ill. to Ripley County, Oxly, Missouri where their son died at the age of 11 years in 1902 as a result of being kicked in the head by a horse. Around 1920, Alice and Hiram along with all their children and sons and daughters-in-law left Missouri and by way of Arkansas, moved to Des Moines to work in a sand and gravel plant. This is where they died.
