Syracuse – Lillian Hansen Platt Smith passed away August 20, 2012. Lillian was born February 12, 1919 in Warren, Utah to Joseph E. and Sarah Wayment Hansen. She graduated from Weber High School and lived in Weber County her entire life.

Lillian married Norman B. Platt in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 14, 1941, he preceded her in death March 13, 1974. She married Gifford Smith in the Ogden LDS Temple July 28, 1988, he died August 3, 1997.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various callings in the auxiliaries of the Church and was an Ogden Temple Worker.

Lillian was Captain of DUP West Company. She loved to sing and sung in many choirs; she loved to crochet, quilt, and enjoyed gardening; she loved her flowers especially the roses.

She is survived by her son and 2 daughters, Brent N. Platt (Colleen), Kathy Morse (David), Lyn Chynoweth (Glen); 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands and 9 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Warren Cemetery.
