HERDMAN L. COFER, 71, of Gardendale, died Thursday. Funeral was today at Mars Hill Baptist Church, Jemison, with burial in the adjoining cemetery, Gardendale Chapel directing. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eula Hedgepath Cofer; a daughter, Mrs. Eva L. Thomas, Gardendale; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Betty Owen, Columbiana, Mrs. Joyce Chamblee, Warrior, and Mrs. Debbie Marsilas, Pelham; four brothers, Luther Cofer, Randolph, Chester Cofer, Calera, Frazier Cofer, Alabaster, and Coburn Cofer, Pleasant Grove, and four sisters, Mrs. Mamie Edwards, Tarrant, Mrs. Beulah Crumpton, Wedowee, Mrs. Minnie Posey, Randolph, and Mrs. Effie Childress, Jemison.
