Willard R. Danner, 74, of Wurtland, died July 18, 2012, in Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was born May 11, 1938, in Greenup, a son of the late John Wesley Danner and Emma Keeton Danner.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae Gillum Danner, in 1992.
He was a retired blacksmith for CSX.
Surviving are sons Ralph E. and wife Brenda Mae Danner of Argillite, and Willard Wesley and companion Jessica of Wurtland, a daughter, Vivian A. and her husband, Timothy French, of Wurtland, sisters, Martha Winnie Picklesimer of Wurtland, Sara Garvin of Wurtland, and Vinnie Thompson of Wurtland, grandchildren, Gina Danner, Bradley Danner, Chelsea French and Chase Danner, and a great-grandchild, Noah Danner.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at Wurtland Church of God, by the Rev. Timothy French and the Rev. Larry Garvin. Burial will be in Danner Family Cemetery at Pleasant Valley in Wurtland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, July 19, 2012, and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
