Mrs. Leona Overturf, 81, a frequent Seattle visitor in the Tri-Cities area in the past two years, died Sunday at Pioneer Nursing Home in Kennewick. Burial was to be at Milton-Freewater.
Mrs. Overturf, who was born November 6, 1882 in Oregon, resided in Seattle with a daughter before coming to Kennewick in July. Survivors include five daughters, Cleata Summers, Kennewick; Gwen Loney, Pasco; Icel Bergman, Seattle; Addie Shadduck, San Jose, California; and Georgia Lanler, Pendleton; a son, James R. Overturf, Kennewick; and a brother, Thomas Coffey, Portland.
Services were Wednesday morning in Spaulding's Memorial Chapel, Kennewick, with the Rev. Charles May officiating. Graveside services were to be at 3 p.m. in the Milton-Freewater Cemetery.
