Dorothy McConnell, 94 years, 11 months, departed this life at the Dade County Nursing Home, Greenfield, Missouri where she had been a resident for several years. She had been a resident of Greenfield (Sand Mountain area) all her life.

Dorothy was the daughter of Albert and Gertie (Bennett) Feezell. She married Arthur Clinton McConnell on July 20, 1933. She was a strong Christian woman and loved God. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and exemplary homemaker who provided her children with boundless emotional support, guidance, and understanding which enhanced their lives in countless ways that enabled them to become responsible citizens with families of their own.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Clinton McConnell; one granddaughter, Debbie Moore; two great grandchildren, Dalton Edwards and Jacklyn McConnell; her parents, Albert and Gertie Feezell; three brothers, Wayne, John, and Bill Feezell; and six sisters, Maude Gates, Oma Dill, Maye Wright, Leo Brown, Beulah Wright, and Opal McConnell; two sons-in-laws, Rollo Vaughn and Don Dickerson.

Survivors include one sister, Hildred Hunt; one son, Cletis McConnell and his wife Janice; five daughters, Cleo Vaughn, Christine Dickerson, Carolyn Sue McConnell, Lou Miller, and Cathy McWilliams and her husband Michael; nine grandchildren, Jackie McConnell, Brad McConnell, Sandy Edwards, Jeff Vaughn, Rick Vaughn, Brent Miller, Mark Miller, Michael Dickerson, and Lynette Ammel; eighteen great grandchildren, Brittany McConnell, Mariah McConnell, Nicholas McConnell, Dustin Crayton, Eric Crayton, Brandon Moore, Roxanne Crozart, Michael Vaughn, Matthew Vaughn, Eric Vaughn, Marissa Castlebury, Aaron Miller, Ryan Miller, Emily Miller, Sarah Miller, Mackenzie Quick, Shanta Dickerson, and Joseph Ammel; ten great grandchildren, Sawyer Crayton, Gabriel Moore, Taylor Vaughn, Daily Vaughn, Spencer Vaughn, Andrew Crayton, Allie Crayton, and Alex Crayton.

Graveside services where held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012 in the Vaughn Cemetery north of Greenfield, Missouri with Pastor Mary Kay Glunt officiating. Music was provided by Rick Vaughn. Pallbearers were Jack McConnell, Brad McConnell, Jeff Vaughn, Brent Miller, Mark Miller, and Mike Dickerson.

Graveside services were under the direction of the Greenfield Funeral Chapel, Greenfield, Missouri.
