Finis married Bertha Gertrude Weatherby Morgan (1890–1979) on July 12, 1910, in Wise County, TX. Finis & Gertrude were missionaries to Brazil from 1919-1951. Later, Finis was chancellor of Baylor University in Waco, TX.

Eastland, Texas - Funeral services for the Rev. F.A.R. Morgan, 69, retired Baptist missionary to Brazil were held 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Eastland. The Rev. C. Melvin Ratheal, pastor, officiated and burial was in Eastland Cemetery under the direction of Hamner Funeral Home.
The Rev. Morgan died at his home Wednesday morning following a brief illness.
The Rev. Morgan served 31 years as a missionary in Brazil where he was president of 3 Baptist colleges. He retired 3 years ago and had made his home in Eastland since that time. He was active in church work here and was often called upon as a speaker. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; one son, F.A.R. Morgan, Jr. of Grand Prairie; two daughters, Mrs. Marian Keegan of Nashville and Mrs. Virginia Buddin, a missionary to Brazil.
