Ollie Broadhead, 83, passed away July 24, 2004 at the Beehive home of Yuma where she lived for three years. She was born August 22, 1920 in Aline, Oklahoma, where she was born to William Joseph Bentley and Amy Bell Coultrup. Ollie had two brothers and two sisters. The family moved to Las Vegas, New Mexico in 1922 where they farmed and ran a dairy.

She married Thomas Levi Broadhead on November 12, 1938. Tom was an electrician and the family moved to various construction jobs. They settled in Aztec, New Mexico in 1959. Ollie worked for Dr. Toney and Tom worked at the Four Corners Power Plant. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Orleva, is survived by her sons, Nathan (Sandy) of Yuma, Jeffery (Jere) of Fallbrook, Calif.; grandchildren, Kimbally of Flagstaff, Ariz., Daniel, of Chandler, Ariz., Tami (Travis) Newby of Yuma, Anissa Antebi of Aurora, Colo., and Amanda (Stuart) Bowen of Yuma. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren Nathaniel and Shaila Dreyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Winona Denham, Juanita Meyers; brothers, Earnest and Willard (Jack); and her beloved husband Tom who passed away in 1985.

Ollie was active in the community and helped organize the "Swinging Seniors", a musical group from the Aztec Adult Center. She loved bowling and was on several state championship teams. She also loved to work in her garden and can fruits and vegetables. She always had a song in her heart and was the life of the party. Illness required Ollie to move to Yuma in 2000 to be with her oldest son.

Visitation will be held from 5 :30 p.m. to 7:30p.m. Wednesday, July 28 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute Street in Farmington, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 29 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Farmington, New Mexico.

Pallbearers will be Danny Broadhead, Nate Broadhead, Jeff Broadhead, Travis Newby, Stuart Bowen, and Jason Rushmeyer. Honorary pallbearers will be Merton Gifford, William Brown, Ted Meyers, Ted Hunter, Kenneth Meyers, and Monte Joe Denham.

A special thanks to Dr. Franklin and his staff and the staff at the Beehive Home for the loving care given to Ollie with special love and appreciation to the following: Connie Morris (Director of the Beehive home), Amailia Ruvalcaba, Anita Lopez, Carol Mitchell, Elizabeth Delgado, Frances Sanchez, Francisca M.
