∼Chad, 26 of Grand Ledge, passed away Jan. 28, 2011. He was born to Douglas Sellers and Kelli (Hoffner) Cardwell.
Chad graduated from Grand ledge High School, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed target shooting, and enjoyed attending his son's and nephew's floor hockey and flag football games. He volunteered to go to Afghanistan this summer and was assigned for a Designated Marksman Course in late spring.
He is survived by his son Connor, special friend Yvette Gonzales (Connor's mother), sisters Kristi Cardwell (Matt Corbett), Kaitlin Cardwell (Mike White), and Suzi (Brett) Godfrey, father Brian Cardwell, grandparents Lloyd and Betty Hoffner, Bill and Janet Cardwell, Jim Sellers, great grandparents Wilfred and Mildred Pullman, nephew Matthew Corbett Jr., niece Kaylee Corbett, best friend and brother Eric Felton, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chad was preceded in death by his mother, Kelli Cardwell, his grandmother Betty Sellers and great grandparents Lloyd Sr. and Lucille Hoffner.
Service was Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Ledge where military honors will follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home Grand Ledge.
