Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Emmie E Cofer of Jemison; three daughters, Jessie C Wilbanks, Dean Veasey, both of Birmingham, and Frances Sammons of Tuscaloosa; one son, Bruce Kent Cofer of Maylene; two sisters, Lula Ellison of Oraville and Annie Barnett of Jemison; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 22, 3:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church. Internment was in the Thorsby Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Hayes and Reb Cletis Ingram were the officiating ministers.
