Eugene S. Riley
Eugene S. "Gene" Riley died July 25, 2006, at age 94.
Mr. Riley was born Nov. 18, 1911, in Midisle, Calif., and moved to Los Angeles as a child. He moved to the Springfield area in 1947 and most recently lived in Forest Grove. He held several jobs, including operating a grocery store near the McKenzie River, driving a log truck, and working in the office of Rosboro Trucking. In 1936, he married Annie "Berniece" Nicholls; she died in 2001.
Survivors include his nephews, Robert Nicholls, Bill Nicholls and Tom Jones; and nieces, Betty Will and Nomi Murray.
