Ronald Ralph "Ron" Patton, 39, of rural Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas, City, following complications from surgery at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg.
Son of Roy Edward and Ila M. (Tyree) Patton.
Graduated from Southeast High School in Cherokee, Kansas in 1970.
Married Marion L. Shivers on April 28, 1973 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Father of Robbie and Barbara Ann Patton.
Ron served in the U.S. Army Infantry with the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, N.C. from 1975 to 1979.
He was a mechanic at Roger Comer Chevrolet in Columbus, Kansas and had previously worked at H & V Alignment in Pittsburg, Kansas for 10 years.
Ron was also a musician, playing in several country music bands over the years.
Additional survivors include two brothers; Sgt. Tom A. Patton of Sumpter S.C. and Henry Patton of Buhl, Idaho; three sisters; Bonnie Burleson of Grove, Oklahoma; Sandra Patton of Buhl, Idaho; and Stephanie Snodgrass of Weiser, Idaho.
