Gary Lynn Trent
Gary Lynn Trent, 35, Route 8, Rogersville, died early Friday morning, November 6, 1987, at University of Tennessee Hospital, Knoxville.
He was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a member of Old Spruce Pine Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivis Trent, in 1980.
Surviving are two daughters, Holly Trent, Rogersville, and Danielle Trent, Rogersville; his mother, Mary Trent, Rogersville; three brothers, Dan, Bruce and Roger Trent, all of Rogersville; one sister, Barbara Faye Luts, Rogersville; his grandmother, Kate Slater, Rogersville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Old Spruce Pine Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. J. D. Helton and Ivan Cook officiating.
Burial was in New Life Cemetery.
VFW Post No. 9543 conducted military graveside rites.
Colboch-Price Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
