CORONER DECIDES CRAZED MURDERER
ENDED OWN LIFE

Man Kills Wife and Son and
Shoots Self--Used Two Different
Guns During the Tragedy

Etowah, Tenn., Oct. 17---An inquest was held at Etowah Friday afternoon, at the office of Squire Cagle, by coroner W. B Clark of Athens upon the bodies of Mrs. Elizabeth Parker, Jimmie Parker and Ben Parker after deliberating 10 minutes the jury turned in the verdict that Mrs. Elizabeth Parker and Jimmie Parker came to their death, and that Norman Morrow was seriously wounded at the hands of Ben Parker and further added that Ben Parker came to his death by a self-inflicted bullet wound.
The shooting took place at the home of Norman Morrow, Thursday night about 6:20 o'clock, Mrs. Parker was shot through the left arm, the bullet penetrating the left side going through and coming out on the right side of the breast, and once in the back, and the baby was shot through the shoulder and neck, and Norman Morrow shot through the left shoulder. Bem Parker, the husband and father was shot through the left lung near the heart. Parker was shot with a 45 automatic, and his wife, baby and Morrow with a .32 S and W special according to evidence.

Eliza had taken her youngest son, James with her to visit Ada Morrow who had just learned she had TB when Ben Parker arrived, shooting his wife and child and injuring Norman Morrow before turning the gun on himself. (Thanks to A. Johns for adding more to the story)
