The husband of Susan Lough, the last name was also spelled "Laugh" and "Louch." According to the Zeamer burial list and the photo here, he is buried as "Louch."

A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Harrisburg August 29, 1864, and mustered into federal service August 30 as a private with Co. I, 200th Pennsylvania Infantry. He was wounded at the battle of Fort Steadman March 25, 1865, nature of which is unknown, and again shot in the right forefinger April 2, 1865, during the final assault on the Confederate works outside Petersburg, Virginia. He was honorably discharged with his company May 30, 1865.

In 1890, he was a resident of Mechanicsburg where he was a member of Zinn Post, No. 415, G.A.R.
