Mrs. Davis was born at Alamo, September 26, 1894, the daughter of Richard and Louise Johnson and was reared in Crockett County, Tenn. On July 7, 1913, she was married to James Mose Jackson and the family moved to Pemiscot County in 1943. Her husband died October 27, 1958.
She leaves her husband, Cohen E. Davis of Hayti; a son, James Jackson of Memphis; four daughters, Mrs. Lucille Ratliff and Mrs. Ellen Brown of Bragg City, Mrs. Frances Tetleton of Dyersburg and Mrs. Earlstean Heugel of St. Louis.
Four brothers, Jim Johnson of Bragg City; Carl Johnson of Shelby, Mill, Odell Johnson of Bakersfield, Calif. and Clint Johnson of St. Louis; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Metzier of St. Ann, Mo.; 23 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
