Based on circumstantial evidence, I believe this person was my 2nd cousin 4x's removed. His correct name is subject to variation. In the 1850 Census, he is David. In his father's probate record he is Daniel. His marriage record says he is David. In the 1870 Census, he is Daniel M. While I have no solid proof, the suggestion is that he was actually David McDaniel Washburn, his middle name being his mother's maiden name.
His wife, Mary Ann (Sanders) Washburn #43653353 is also buried in the Tippecanoe Cemetery. They were married in Jackson County, Alabama in 1865. David's parents, Jeremiah and Nancy Washburn, are buried in the Richter Cemetery in Fulton County.
