James Edward "Frank" Coffey age 66 of Thorn Hill, TN. was born February 1 1945 and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 16, 2011 while vacationing at Myrtle Beach, SC. With his Wife & Daughter He was a life long member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents;Lonnie Elum and Martha Alice Coffey;four brother Hugh,June,B.L. and Stanley and sister Sue; Father-in-law, Rev Hugh Dalton and brother-in-law Haskell,Garrett,Esco,Fred and Clay Dalton; Sister-in-law,Clara Monk and Elsie West. He is survived by his wife of 48 years:Eva J Coffey,Two Sons: Kenneth (Penny), Tony (Linda) One Daughter: Loretta (Ronnie) Brogan: Five Grandchildren Brandon Coffey, Jason Brogan, Billy Brogan, Ashley Coffey Dalton, Randy Brogan,Three Great Grandchildre Kyra,& Leah Dalton, Savanna Brogan.Three Sister Ann (Clifford) Cook, Avery Wilder, Hester (Bobby) Jones....
Frank was a loving Husband,Father,Papaw and Friend.He could always make you laugh and lift you up.He was a quite man.A man of his word.If he told you he was going to do something you could count on it.He had to quit school when he passed into the forth grade.It made him feel bad because when we went out to eat he couldnt read the menu.He had to quit school to help his daddy on the farm.He liked going on vacation at Myrtle Beach.He liked walkin on the beach with his wife and family.He liked playing in the sand with his special grandchildren Kyra and Leah.He made one special trip to Myrtle Beach where he took all his family.He had the time of his life showing them things for they had never been to the beach before.He was at the beach with his wife and daughter when God called him home.He loved his church and all his brothers and sisters in christ.He wanted all his family in church.He loved coon hunting with his grandsons while he was able to climb the mountains.He taught his grandchildren how to shoot a racoon out of a tree to the dogs.He liked fishing hunting and horse back riding and going on wagon trains.You should have heard him laugh at his son,He would say i want you to come and look here at him with them Orange coveralls on.He got into buying and selling used cars with his son and liked it.He enjoyed going to the car sales.Later him and his sons started Coffeys Auto Sales.He started public work at the age of 18 at forrest products in Morristown,TN where he worked many years.Later he went to Norris Homes of Bean station,TN.He laughed when he quit there told them he was going home to sale milk and butter.Later he went to Refurb Co of Bean Station,TN.Where he was working at when he had his heart attack in Feb 2005.At which time he had 5 bypasses and had to take a early retirment.He liked his farm animals and loved his dog Sandie.He also loved his 1965 red mustang that was his toy,and he loved having cookouts with his family.He thought alot of his family and to his family he was the world.Deeply loved and missed by All his family.
