Tessie Tarver, 77, of Zachary, La., and a native of Amite County, died Nov. 14, 2011, at Zachary Manor Nursing Home.
Visitation is 10 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster with services there at 11. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster.
Mrs. Tarver was born Jan. 31, 1934, in Amite County. She was the daughter of the late Henry [and] Emma Reeves Arnold. She worked at Carter's Garment Factory in Centreville and in Liberty.
Survivors include her son, Jamie Whitmore and two brothers, Glen and Reggie Arnold.
