Jackie Glenn Argo passed away on the night of Tuesday, December 2, 2008. He was born at home May 31, 1942 in the Cooper Creek Community in Denton County, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence A. Argo and Tressie Faye Rainey; brother-in-law, Bill Monds; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilson Argo. His extended family, on both sides, was very active in the community, especially in the Cooper Creek Baptist Church.

Jack's early years of education were spent at Cooper Creek Elementary, a two-room school where many of Jack's childhood memories/stories involved the church and cemetery. The remainder of his education was completed in the Denton Public Schools. Jack worked for many years for Caruthers Oil Co., where he was the route salesman. "Happy Jack" had a great sense of humor and was always a central figure at family gatherings where he told stories and jokes. He was the entertainer and the "cheerer upper" of the family.

He is survived by his son, Chris (Lorena Gonzalez) and their son, Zachary. Jack married Dolores Lopez in 1972 and together they had a son, Joel, married to Melissa Sleger.

Jack was the fourth of six children, Billie Marie Argo Monds (William "Bill" Monds [deceased]); William Clinton Argo (Dorothy Wilson [deceased]); Benny Clarence Argo (Martha Huff); Betty Lou Argo (Dean Moore); and Jimmy Claude Argo (Georgetta Judkins). He is also survived by his wife's family, Consuelo Trujillo, Barbara Martin, Frank Lopez (Corrine Barela) and his niece, Lisa Trujillo, who lived with Jack and Dolores through her growing-up years; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and his dogs and best friends, Tito and Franklin.

Jack will be remembered for his smile and kind heart.
