Admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1909, he had been a practicing lawyer in OKC since then, with the exception to 23 months when he served on the bench of the State Supreme Court. He resigned to return to his 25 year law partnership with John Shirk.
Honored by the State Bar Commission several years, he was named chairman in 1920. He also was a member of the Board of Bar Examiners and was president of that organization in 1935. He served as head of the State Bar Association in 1928.
During World War I, Danner was a private and at the time of his death, was a captain in the Army Reserves. Danner was president of the McGuffy Society the last 3 years, and also held memberships in the Men's Dinner Club, and the Sequoyah Knife & Fork Club.
List of pall bearers included John H Shirk, Charles Earnheart, Clarence Mills, G A Nichols, Samuel O Neff, John F Martin, George H Shirk, Charles B Cochran, O A Cargill, Lon Foster, Howard H Lindley, and James O Phelps.
Survivors, in addition to his wife; are his father, A B Danner, Palmyra, MO; a brother, Clint, of Winchester, IL; two sisters, Mrs J M Loring, Rushville, IL; and Mrs Joseph Aubuschon, Belleville, IL.
Services 2 pm Thursday at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill.
