STONEFORT -- Cody Lee Cowger, 22, passed away at 4:42 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at his home.
Cody was born March 2, 1989, to Greg and Karen Sisky Cowger.
He was an employee of Morris Excavating and was a member of Carrier Mills First Baptist Church where he was baptized by Rev. Harl Cockrum.
He is survived by his parents, Greg and Kren of Stonefort; brother, Nick and Barbara Ditterline Cowger of Stonefort; niece, Paislee Marie Cowger; maternal grandmother, Barbara Sisky of Harrisburg; paternal grandmother, Georgia Cowger of Carrier Mills; and stepdaughter, Krista Jade Hunt.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Sterling Cowger; maternal grandfather, John Lee Sisky; and his special great-grandmother, Violet Cowger.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in Carrier Mills Middle School Gymnasium, with the Revs. Harl Cockrum and Ryan Beck officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the gymnasium.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the special reading programs of Carrier Mills-Stonefort Unit School District. Envelopes will be available at the gymnasium.
Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is entrusted with arrangements.
