Mabel Juanita(McConnell) Skaggs, was born, Septembr 28, 1923, to Jonathan Arthur "Art" and Mamie Adelia (Carlock) McConnell, in Dade County, Missouri, near Greenfield. She died in the Nursing Home, in Joplin, Missouri where she had resided for many years.
Juanita was married on October 15, 1960 to Orville Skaggs, with whom they had 2 children; a daughter, Linda Roxanne Skaggs and a son, Steve Randell Skaggs. Roxanne lives in Joplin, Missouri so was able to visit her mother in the Nursing Home. The son, Steve Randall died at the age of 21 on September 1, 1988, under private circumstances.
