John Layton
Oakland—John (Mose) Layton, 89, of Bayard, died yesterday at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.

Born at Big Savage, he was a son of the late Frank T. and Susan (Gould) Layton.

A retired carpenter, he was a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Radcliff, Mrs. Grace Weimer and Mrs. Daisy Heinrick, LaVale; a brother Elgin Layton, Bayard.

The body is at the Minnich-Stewart Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.

A service will be conducted there Saturday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Robert C. Cole. Interment will be in Bayard Cemetery.
