Elizabeth, wife of George W. Newman, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Leidy, Shore Valley Aug, 18th, 1920, aged 82 years, 2 months and 14 days.

Her maiden name was Chilcote and was the last member of that family, her brothers and sisters having preceded her to the Great Beyond.

Left to mourn of her demise are the following children: Jacob of Shore Valley; John of Wells Valley; Tilden and Charles of Waterfall, Pa.; Etta, wife of Mr. Stevens of Illinois, Emma wife of Harry Shore Huntingdon; and Mary, wife of Samuel Leidy Shore Valley;

The deceased was a good Christian lady, she being a member of the Baptist Church for many years.

Interment was made at the Zion M.E. Church of Waterfall Aug 20, the funeral services being conducted by Rev Frownfelter of Three Springs.
