Lewis D Albin, 58, died at his his home here at 3 Friday morning, from the effects of the third stroke of paralysis, suffered 15 days ago.
Mr Albin was born in Locke township, the son of David and Bashaby Albin, pioneer settlers of Elkhart county.
In 1894, Mr Albin was married to Amanda Peterson of Chicago. Three children were born, Mrs. Henry Davidhizer of near Leesburg,Chester D Albin of Elkhart, and Jesse M Albin of Locke.
Twenty-one years ago he married Delian Chokey, one son, Clarence, being born to this union. She died three years ago.
The children named above survive with two step-children, Edward Chokey of California, and Ernest Chokey of this place; 8 grand children; and two sisters, Mrs. Sophrona Hanisch of Plainfield, Illinois, and Mrs. Estella Conrad of Harvey, Ill.
Until Mr Albin was stricken last June with his first stroke, he had been employed by the Bontrager Construction Co., of Elkhart.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Christian church in charge of the pastor, the Rev Albert McMurrin and the Rev John M. Hartman. Burial in the North Union cemetery.
