Marcelle Renee Smith, 87, of Williamstown, WV, died on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Arbors of Marietta. She was born in Paris, France, on Thursday, April 17, 1924, to the late Gaston Victor and Jeanne Nocton Tromp. She had been a member of Williamstown First Presbyterian Church and had sung in the Women's Choir.
On July 3, 1947, she married Perry C. Smith who survives with a daughter Chantal Golden and her husband Philip, and one grandson Philip Golden, Jr., and his wife Rita both of Canonsburg, PA. One son Gerald Michael Smith also survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at 11 AM at Hadley Funeral Home 500 5th Street Chapel with the Rev. Philip Golden officiating and burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, WV. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Hadley Funeral Home 500 5th Street Marietta, OH.
