My Dad was a loving Father and Pop-Pop.
He loved to watch football and Nascar,his fav team was the Redskins and he liked Rusty Wallace.
His sanctuary was his garage with a beer always in his hand.He was taken from us way too soon,he is truly missed.Jeffrey A. Erskine died on Monday, Jan. 11, 2010. He was 50. Born in Easton, Md., on Nov. 14, 1959, he was the son of Betty Fisher and Huey J. Erskine Jr.

Mr. Erskine graduated from Easton High School in 1978.

Directly after graduation, he entered the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country for 20 years, working in motor transportation. After his retirement from the military, he worked for Quebecor World in Martinsburg.

Mr. Erskine loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan, and enjoyed rooting for Rusty Wallace and Kurt Bush and spending time in his garage.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Erskine, of Hedgesville; three children, Holly Van Pelt (Stephen), of Martinsburg, Jessica Long (Jason), of Swansboro, N.C., and Tim Erskine, of Martinsburg; five brothers and sisters, Huey (Sharon) Erskine, Pam Erskine, Kim Erskine and Patti (Joe) Hamill, all of Easton, and Dennis (Janice) Erskine, of Hockessin, Del.; three grandchildren, Deziree, Madisyn and Brett; and several nieces and nephews.

He was looking forward to the birth of his next grandchild, Jordin, who is due in April. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Easton, where friends may call one hour prior.
