Wilburn Vaughn Robinson, 77, was born on a farm in Whigham to the late Rufus Hill Robinson and Martha Vaughn Robinson. He attended Turkey Creek School, Whigham Elementary and High School and the University of Georgia. He served his country in the U.S. Army with the 11th Airborne Division in Kentucky. As a C.P.A. and businessman, Wilburn served as a leader and board member under several major corporations. His talents and achievements are recognized in hospital software design, the steel industry, engineering and construction, registered poll cattle, ocean marine shipping, banking, air medical transport services and ground transportation for refrigerated products.
He is survived by a daughter, Kim Elaine (Chris); sons, Michael Vaughan, Richard Daniel(Jennifer; grandchildren, Austin, Kelly, and Avery; brothers, Neyland Allen (Alice), Richard Edwin (Lynn), and Embree Lynn (Karen).
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Martha Robinson; a son, Randall Robinson; brothers, R.H. Robinson Jr., Joseph Carroll Robinson, and two brothers and a sister, who died at birth.
