One way or another there is not one document that names Andrew as a son in any will. No birth record that would coincide with his birth. Therefore any statement made by anyone as to his Father being Joseph Danner who was married to Martha Agnew Danner is strictly conjecture or supposition and maybe a desire to be right no matter the lack of evidence. I do however have 28 DNA matches as to who I believe his parents are. With a lack of documentation however I will not name them but they are not the aforementioned Joseph.
He was first married to Ruanna Weast daughter of Henry & Susannah Huffer Weast and they had three were daughters. Ruanna died when the youngest was not yet one year of age. Having been left with three young daughters he then married her sister Susanna Weast. He and Susanna had six daughters and two sons. Andrew served in Col. Henry A. Cole's 1st Potomac Home Brigade Calvary also known as Cole's Volunteer Maryland Calvary Company H and among his duties were that of a cooper.
Enlisted in Company F, Maryland 1st PHB Cavalry Regiment Rank at enlistment: Private on 24 February 1864.
Promoted to Full Corporal. Enlisted as a Corporal in Company H, 1st PHB Cavalry Regiment Maryland on 23 Apr 1864.
