Dexter H. Dalton, age 87, was called to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 10, 2011. She was born October 7, 1923 in Grainger County, TN, to the parents of Lon and Nervie (Dalton) Wolfenbarger. She formerly resided on Hudson Avenue in Franklin for many years before moving to Hillsprings in Springboro. She retired from the Miamisburg City School system in 1983 after 17 years of service. She was afaithful member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Franklin where she also helped support the ladies group. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also an avid quilt maker. Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Lonnie; one daughter, Bonnie; three brothers, Donald, Robert, and Rev. Clarence Wolfenbarger; three sisters, Geneva Lamb, Gladys Asberry, and Leo Holt; and one son-in-law, Jerry Collins. She is survived by three sons, Ervin (Rose) of Monroe, Russell of Franklin, and Ronald (Nyoka) Dalton of Middletown; and one daughter, Juanita Collins of Springboro; one brother, Rev. R.T. (Diane) Wolfenbarger; two sisters Lucille (Carl Ray) Carpenter and Pauline Wolfenbarger; seven grandchildren, Chris Collins, Mike, Brian, Brad (Amy), Brent (Kelly) and Rick (Pam) Dalton, Julie (Ken) Bruck; ten great grandchildren, Brady, Isabel, Ava, Brittany, Brooke, and BreeAnn Dalton, Krystal Griffin, Mackenzie Bruck, Matthew and Meredith Collins, and a host of extended family member and friends. Her seven grandchildren will act as the pallbearers for her service. Funeral services are Saturday August 13, 2011 at 10am at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Rev. Scott Young officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-9pm at the funeral home.
