Saturday, December 25, 2010, at Ridgecrest Retirement in Davenport. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Maquoketa.
Roberta was born February 5, 1928, in Richmond, Iowa, the daughter of William and Emma (Kritz) Shalla. She graduated from Kalona High School. She married John R. Coffman on December 26, 1950, at the Holy Trinity Church in Richmond, Iowa. Bobbi was an office secretary for Cargill Feed in Washington, Iowa, had worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa, and was an office manager at Jackson County Farm Bureau for 26 years. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Davenport and a former member of Sacred Heart Church, Maquoketa, and Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to several bridge clubs.
She is survived by her husband, John Coffman of Davenport; two sons, Dave (Anne) Coffman of Muscatine, Iowa, and Dan (Sandra) Coffman of Bettendorf; four grandchildren, Grant, Chelsea, Elizabeth and Andrew; three step-grandchildren, Andy Kunde, Jordan (Rebecca) Kunde and Spencer Kunde; and one step-great-grandchild, Keenan Kunde.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Marty on June 11, 1998, and three sisters.
