JOHN F. 'JACK' CHURCH JR., 68, of 1606 Estate, retired office manager for Fireman's Fund Insurance Co., died of cancer Friday afternoon at St. Francis Hospital, Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. Church was a World War II veteran and a member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church. He was past president of the West Tennessee Insurance Association and past chairman of the Insurance Council of Memphis. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Harriett Taylor Church; a daughter, Miss Suzanne Jane Church; three sons, Thomas Taylor Church, James Edward Church, John Fross Church III; two sisters, Mrs. Fletcher Wilson of Franklin, Tenn., and Mrs. James Jacobs of Piano, Texas; and three grandsons. The family requests any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
