Tom graduated from Crawfordville High School, Crawfordville, Florida as Valedictorian, left his small country home and completed four years at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina.

He served in the Peace Corp in Tunisia, where he translated the school books for the children. He served in the U.S. Navy as an interpreter. He was by Lockheed Aeronautical Systems in Atlanta.

His accomplishments in his short life proved that much can be accomplished with determination and a desire to better the world.

He was a talented pianist.

He was a person that everyone could talk to, he was a born diplomat and his caring personality made him a fine friend. His sense of humor and good nature made him many friends around the world who mourned his death.

He was the Great Grandson of John Lovick and Julia Walker Crawford. The grandson of John Lovick and Ella Vasco Forbes Adams. The son of Thurman Artense and Donna Inez Adams Raker. He was the best friend of all of his cousins.
