Charley was born December 1, 1903 to William Davis Moore, Sr. and Sarah Ann (Sally) Parker Moore. He had two sons, Charles Lamar Moore, Jr. and Donald Talmidge Moore. On 11 July 1929 he Married Minnie Lee Hicks in Clearwater, Florida. Charley worked in the shipbuilding industry in Tampa during World War II and later moved to Bartow, Florida where he worked as a machinist in the phosphate industry. He was a deacon at McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church, Bartow, Florida. Charley died of a stroke on November 25, 1975.
