MRS. FLORENCE FUNK DIES AT MISHAWAKA
Mrs. Florence D. Funk, 72, sister of Richard D. Lewton of Decatur, died Thursday morning at her home in Mishawaka, Indiana. Death was unexpected.
She was born in Adams County, June 26, 1898, a daughter of the late Amos J. and Anna Mumma-Lewton. She was married to Russell Funk of Mishawaka on July 15, 1925, and had resided in Mishawaka since 1925. Her husband preceded her in death on May 8, 1949.
Surviving in addition to her brother, Richard D. Lewton are one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Marjorie) Keeler of South Bend, Ind., and two grandchildren, Cheryl and Dean Keeler of South Bend., and one brother, Lewis Lewton of Detroit, Michigan. One brother and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Immanuel Baptist Church, corner of Grove & Ann Streets, Mishawaka, Ind., with Rev. Duncan McNabbe officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joe Valley Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bubb Funeral Home, Mishawaka, Ind., from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m on Saturday. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Sunday.
