CYRUS E. RUMFELT, 51, of 319 East Avenue, Prophetstown, IL, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at his home. Cyrus was born November 16, 1959, in Sterling, IL, to Lyman E. and Elizabeth J. (Remrey) Rumfelt. He was educated in the Sterling and Morrison Grade Schools and was a 1978 graduate of Morrison High School. He married Sharon Farley on March 22, 1980, in Morrison. Cy worked as a self employed carpenter and most recently worked for Bush Construction in Morrison. He was a member of the Open Bible Fellowship in Morrison. He enjoyed watching all types of sports and was an avid Cardinals fan.Survivors include his significant other, Robin Cooper of Prophetstown, IL; three sons, Tony (Stacy Mager) Rumfelt of Morrison, Marcus Rumfelt of Morrison, Adam Rumfelt of Morrison; two grandchildren, Allen and Payton Rumfelt; three sisters, Mary (Don) Ford of Grand Tower, IL, Julie (Marty) Richards of Morrison, Elizabeth (Shawn) Varga of Lexington, KY; three brothers, Charles (Nina) Rumfelt of Morrison, Robert (Deb) Rumfelt of Opelika, AL, Lyman (Lisa) Rumfelt of Morrison.He was preceded in death by his parents.
