Census data indicates Howard was likely born about 1887 but we're using the math from his grave marker for his birth year.

At the 1920 Census Howard is living in CT and working as a Coal Driver and was a part of the Coal Teamsters Union.

Howard served in WW1. He was part of the Quartermasters, a function of the US Army division of the military that dealt with supplies and mortuary registrations.

1900 census scan, if you open the actual record: In one household is Clarissa Jennings and her grandson Frederick Bartlett. In another household is Irene and her son Howard, daughter Lura and daughter Clara M.

In the family of Lura, Clara May is known as Aunt May. She signed with her married name Mrs. AR Lamb on Howards military card.

Howard was laid to rest in West Cemetery next to his brother, Frederick Kirk Bartlett, and Fredericks wife, Josephine on January 23, 1973. He was 86 grand years old.

Note: Grave marker reads 84 years old, it's a little off.

Siblings:
Clara May, Lura Lee, and Frederick Kirk Bartlett
