Former Resident of Westfield Passes Away at Brockton Hospital
Westfield, May 17 -- Word has been received of the death at the Goddard hospital in Brockton yesterday of Dighton Garfield, 79, a former resident of this city. Mr. Garfield lived on Ellsworth street and was a cousin of President Garfield, he resided with his daughter, Mrs. Ida Jones whose husband was drowned when the Titanic was wrecked by an iceberg. Mrs. Jones removed to Brockton about two years ago.
