Mrs. Kate Brooks Dalton

Mrs. Kate Brooks Dalton, age 81, died in the M-H Hospital this morning. She was the widow of the late James Landon Dalton of Bean Station, and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Hawkins County; daughter of the late James and Mary Williams Brooks.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Mary Samsel, Mrs. Maude Dalton, Mrs. Clarence Coffey, Bean Station; and Mrs. Carl Holt and Mrs. Ray Smith of Morristown; sons, John and Harvey Dalton, Whitesburg; Deadrick, Persia, Carter, Morristown; and Charlie, Cocoa, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Ed Price and Mrs. Wiley Kenner, Rogersville; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Adriel Baptist Church in Grainger County with Rev. Johnny Collins and Rev. Floyd Gladson officiating. The time will be announced pending the arrival of relatives from overseas. Burial in the Adriel cemetery.

The body is at Brooks Mortuary where the family will receive friends."
