Dies in Hospital After Operation; Funeral in Grand Rapids, Thurday
Mrs. Lowell B. Akins, 33 years of age, passed away Sunday morning at about 10:30 at the United Memorial hospital, where she under went an operation Wednesday.
Mrs. Akins was born in Grand Rapids and spent all of her life there until 3 1/2 years ago when Mr. Akins purchased the Greenville Body shop and they moved to this city.
Surviving are her husband and two sons, George Lowell and Junior; her mother, Mrs. George A Grabill and one sister, Mrs. Bernice Bedwin, both of Grand Rapids; three brothers, Glenn and Harold of Grand Rapids and Roy of Passaic, N.J.; and a host of friends, both here and in Grand Rapids.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the home of Mrs. Grabill at 118 East Buckley St, Grand Rapids.
