POWNAL - Jean Elizabeth Cameron, 84, formerly of River's Edge Community Care Home, died April 19, 2011, at Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, following a long illness.

Born in Arlington Aug. 31, 1926, she was the daughter of Gordon M. and Dorothy E. (Crofut) Hard.

In earlier years, Mrs. Cameron was employed at Chittenden Bank in Arlington and later by Vermont Department of Social Services.

Survivors include four children, Karen Eagan of Waterbury Center, Richard Cameron of Cambridge, N.Y., Jennifer Krolak of Ballston Lake, N.Y., and Paula Cyphers of Westchester, Ill.; four siblings, Alice Hartigan of Stowe, Priscilla Nacy of Claymont, Del., Sara Grey of Castleton and Jeffrey Hard of Richmond; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Guy Cameron, and a brother, David Hard.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery on Arlington.
