Ron was an Owner Partner with Rocky Mountain Produce, and a long line driver for over 30 years. He then moved to Dayton, Ohio and drove for ABF Trucking where he retired after a severe heart attack, and decided then to return to St. George, Utah to make his home. He always said that he could never build his home in Santa Clara, because they were building on his rabbit hunting ground. Ron so loved his faith as a member of the LDS Church, working for years as a Baptismal Font Recorder and First Assistant to the High Priest Group Leader. He was also a Sunday School Superintendent. His love for his golf game with his dear friend Dick Erickson was unsurpassed.
Ron is survived by his wife Marci; his two sons: Ronald Andrew (Angie) Mason of Washington, and Daniel Le Mason of Santa Rosa, California; one daughter: Laura Lee (Joel) Price of Midlothian, Virginia; his three sisters: Bonnie Elaine (Victor) Cannon of Santa Clara, Utah, Eleanor (Ron) Sessions of Manti, Utah, and Shelia (Marv) Watts of Brookside, Utah; one sister-in-law: Marce (Mervyn) Mason of Phoenix, Arizona; one grandson: Michael Andrew Mason; three granddaughters: Candace Price (Tim) Stafford, Jessica Nicole Price, and Taylor Nicole Mason; and one great-granddaughter: Mason Mae Stafford.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Richard Donald Mason and Michael LeVoy Mason; brother: Mervyn LeVoy Mason; and also by his brothers-in-law: Victor Leon Cannon and Marvin Watts.
Ron lived a very fulfilled life, he loved and was so loved by his family, most of all his grandchildren, and especially his great-granddaughter Mason Mae. We shall all miss him so.
Our family would like to thank Southern Utah Hopsice, Lynette, Kelly, and all the wonderful care givers.
