He served in the U.S. Air Force in B-29 Bombers, during the Korean War.
Richard is survived by his son, David Abendroth; sisters, Jeanne Kuhfal, Alice C. (Donald W.) Gillson; brother, Gary Abendroth and numerous other relatives.
In his business life he was a decorator and Owner Operator of Colorama, a paint and wallpaper store.
Funeral Service were held Tuesday, April 12, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing with Rev. Stephen Ezop officiating.
