Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011, in the First United Methodist Church in Cooper, TX. Rev. Steve Cook will be officiating.
Interment will follow at the family plot in Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper, under the direction of the Delta Funeral Home.
Born August 12, 1924 in Cooper, TX to parents, Thomas Baker and Maude Lee Tisdal Good,
Margaret graduated from Cooper High School in 1941 and was a 1945 graduate of East Texas State College (Texas A&M at Commerce).
She moved to New Orleans in 1949 to work in insurance claims, retiring from Sentry Insurance in the late 1980s.
After Hurricane Katrina (2005), she moved to Midland, TX where she remained in the care of her niece, Susan Hall, until her death.
Margaret was an active member of the Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church.
She loved New Orleans, she enjoyed travel, oil painting, jazz, and Mardi Gras.
A gracious lady will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Lloyd, Louis, Barton, Wilson, and Gene.
She is survived by sisters-in-law, Edna (Lancaster) Good of Commerce and Jindra Good of Cooper; ten nieces and one nephew; many grand nieces and nephews, and many great-grand nieces and nephews.
