CHICOPEE - Douglas J. Loveridge, age 84, was called safely home on March 1, 2011. He was born on May 10, 1926 in Boston, MA. He was the only son of the late William and Helen (Kelly) Loveridge. He was a communicant of the former St Patrick's Church. Douglas worked as a Lab Technician for Hoods Milk Co., in Agawam for over 30 years before he retired. He is predeceased by his wife Ann M. (Quirk) Loveridge, who passed away in 1985. He leaves his son, Douglas J. Loveridge II and his wife Jo Ann of Chattanooga, TN; his daughter Kathleen Rallis and her husband John of Chicopee along with his 4 beloved grandchildren, Douglas J. Loveridge III, Ann Marie Loveridge, Alyssa Grzelak and her husband Matthew and Kate Rallis. Doug's family would like to thank the staff of the Holyoke Soldier's Home for their heartfelt care and concern given to Doug while he resided there. Funeral Service's will be held on Saturday, Mar. 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Assumption Church, 104 Springfield St., Chicopee, followed by burial in St Patrick's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holyoke Soldiers Home, 110 Cherry St, Holyoke, MA 01040 or to the Hospice Life Care Center, 113 Hampden St, Holyoke, MA 01040 or to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, 2009 Curtain Pole Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37406. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
