GASTONIA - James "Satch" Horace Fletcher, 70, died Dec. 31, 2012, in Gastonia.

He was a native of Gaston County, son of Mary Ruth Freeman Fletcher of Gastonia and the late Paul Lee Fletcher.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday, at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with the Revs. Andy Raines and Greg Ballard officiating. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

"Satch" retired from M and M Electric Company with twenty years of service. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a huge Braves baseball fan.

Survivors include his former wife, Mary Hall Helton and husband Harold of Lincolnton, daughter, Carol Stephenson and husband Robert of Lincoln-ton, grandson Clinton Stephenson, brother, Marshall Fletcher and wife Carla of Gastonia, nephew, Andrew "A J" James Fletcher, uncle James and Ann Freeman of Gastonia, Bobby and Jean Freeman of Gastonia, many loved cousins, close extended family and friends, Regis Andrew and Sandra Puczy-lowski Urik of Fayetteville and Glen Regis Urik of Fayetteville.

Memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 1706 West Davidson Avenue, Gastonia. McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia is serving the Fletcher family.
