Dan Hogle 1951-2011

MARSEILLES — Dan Hogle, 59, of Marseilles, died Monday, Feb. 7, at 10:50 a.m. at his residence.

Dan was born March 6, 1951, in Indiana to William R. and Catherine R. (Tilton) Hogle. He married Diane L. Harmon on Dec. 12, 1980, in Decatur. She preceded him in death on Nov. 13, 2001.

Surviving are his daughter, Katie Hogle of Marseilles; stepdaughter, Dina (Scott) Evans of Pittsfield; a stepson, Dan Maurer of Colorado; five grandchildren, Jordan and Jessica Evans, Alex Norman, Cheala Maurer and Danielle Maurer.

His parents and one brother, David Hogle, preceded him in death.

Dan was a truck driver.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Downtown Chapel, 416 Edward St., Henry. Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. The Rev. Heath Beard will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Henry. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
