Frank Santella, 75, of Jarrell entered into eternal rest on January 23, 2011 at a local care center. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in the Gabriels Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Georgetown. Pastor Jim Craver will preside at the funeral service at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 27, 2011 in Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg. Interment with military honors will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Frank was born July 14, 1935 to Pasquele and Mary (Penna) Santella in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Philadelphia attending and graduating from Ridley Township High School. Shortly after graduation, Frank enlisted to serve his country as a member of the Air Force. It was in the service that he trained to be an Aircraft Technician, his tour of duty eventually brought him to Texas and he retired from Bergstrom AFB as a Master Sergeant. Frank enjoyed his retirement with the telling of humorous tales, woodworking, and playing mentally challenging games. He was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Carmina Coffey. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Betty Ann of Jarrell; sons, Mark and his wife Denise of Elgin, and Steven of Burnet; daughters, Gwen and her husband Robert Glover of Georgetown, and Michelle and her husband Sean Reynolds of Hutto; ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
