Ralph A. Rickenberg, 60, of Defiance, died at 3:53 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Defiance Regional Medical Center. ?He was born Dec. 1, 1946, in Napoleon, the son of Alfred and Viola (Wieland) Rickenberg, who both preceded him in death. He was employed by General Motors in Defiance, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Defiance, U.A.W. 211, Moose, Eagles, and AmVets #1991. Surviving are four daughters, Sheri Baker of Defiance, Shonda Huerta, Defiance, Tiffany Rickenberg of Alcester, S.D., and Tanya Rickenberg, Defiance; a brother, Richard (Ilonka) Rickenberg of Florida, Ohio; a godchild, Jason Rickenberg; various nieces and nephews; and six grandchildren, Makayla, Meredith and Logan Baker, Jaime Rey and Logan Baker, and Bricetin Stiltner.?He was also preceded in death by a brother, Henry Rickenberg.?Services were held Tuesday, March 20, at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home in Defiance, with the Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Defiance.
